1909-17 Police Gazette Baseball Inserts Lot of 9. For much of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th, the National Police Gazette was one of this country's more popular periodicals. Having a strong emphasis on sport, the Gazette was often a spot to find attractive photographic inserts featuring the most popular athletes of the day. Here we present a fine collection of nine 11x16" inserts dating from Gazette issues released between 1909-17. Such subjects are highlighted here as Christy Mathewson, Harry Covaleskie, Josh Devore, Sherwood Magee, Dick Rudolph, Demon Dave Robertson, Al Bridwell, Thomas Dalton, and Jack Warhop. Condition issues are minor, with only some slight creases and small tears to count as flaws.
