1909-16 Police Gazette Baseball Inserts Lot of 10. For much of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th, the National Police Gazette was one of this country's more popular periodicals. Having a strong emphasis on sport, the Gazette was often a spot to find attractive photographic inserts featuring the most popular athletes of the day. Here we present a fine collection of ten 11x16" inserts dating from Gazette issues released between 1909-16. Such subjects are highlighted here as Walter Johnson, Clarence Mitchell, Heinie Zimmerman, Jimmy Archer, Dick Hoblitzell, Catcher Irwin, Al Burch, Hans Lobert, Nap Rucker, and Bert Daniels. Condition issues are minor, with only a few small tears and light creases to count as flaws.Auction Info
