1906 Chicago Cubs Photographic Postcard. Great 3-1/2 x 5-1/2" vintage postcard bears the image of the 1906 Chicago Cubs, a team that was on its way to the first one-city World Series against the White Sox after racking up a yet-unbroken record of 116 wins. This mark came despite a season 10 games shorter than today's. Postmarked October 6, 1906, this near-century old card was sent during the last week of the season and the pennant was already decided. All the expected HOF stars are pictured, including Mordecai Brown and the famous infield combo of Tinker, Evers, and Chance. Despite this talent-heavy squad's amazing record, the Cubs lost out to their neighbors from the South Side four games to two, solidifying a rivalry as fierce as any in American Sports.
