    Description

1906-12 National League Handwritten Box Score Books Lot of 3. Certainly one of the more unique items we have offered, this lot of three baseball box score books cover the entire 1906, 1907 and 1912 National League seasons, plus championship games. Neatly written in fine tip fountain pen, the owner painstakingly wrote in the results for every game played on each date. Additionally, in the back of each are several nuggets such as complete year-end standings, past year results, and such oddities as the longest win streak in game by game format by Providence in 1884 or the longest Major League game played. Each page has had the box score grid carefully added by hand in red ink. In any sense of the word, this is a form of baseball art and would be appreciated by anyone with a passion for the game such as these books' author had.
