Description

1903 John Henry Ganzel Signed Postcard, First New York Yankees Home Run. Ganzel may not be a household name in the world of the incomparable New York Yankees legends, but he holds one distinction that no other Yankee can ever take away. On May 11, 1903, Ganzel hit the first ever home run by a New York American Leaguer (way back when the Yankees were first known as the Highlanders). In a decade-long playing career bridging two centuries, Ganzel played for five different teams, then managed in the National League, Federal League, and minor leagues. Passing away more than fifty years ago in 1959, Ganzel will soon prove to be a difficult autograph to locate. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.

Another major house refused the work stating it was too unique for the artist. Heritage saw that as an advantage!
