Description

1900's-30's George Zindler Balance of Scrapbooks. If we are to assign value only from those pieces that could be found in price guides, the population would be confined to a pair of The Sporting News supplements (one picturing Christy Mathewson, the other Cy Youg and Louis Criger) glued to the covers of two of the scrapbooks, though each bear's Zindler's label on top (and, of course, are glued on verso). But there's much to love here, with period clippings from the famous 1909 Wagner vs. Cobb World Series. Dozens of other clippings discussing Lajoie, Mathewson, Bender, Cobb, etc. Some complete 1935 sports sections of Detroit Tigers World Series. Interesting stuff.
