    Description

1900-1960 Baseball Postcards Lot of 100+ from the Casey Stengel Collection. Tremendous value is to be found in this large lot of postcards representing Stengel's love of collecting. Many date to the earliest years of the twentieth century, with some unbelievable team images of Cherokee and Cheyenne Indian squads, and even a 1911 real photo postcard picturing Stengel as a member of the Aurora club of the Class C Wisconsin-Illinois League. Stengel has noted his presence in his unmistakable NRMT hand with "C.D.S." Other highlights include a Japanese issued postcard picturing the American team that visited the country in 1922, and dozens of early linen postcards picturing just about every big league ballpark. Many are postally used, most are not. Condition is quite strong with very few exceptions. Almost certainly some hidden gems here.
