1897 Captain Anson's Pocket Score Board for Base Ball Games. It's not technically a game--rather it's a means for keeping score of real-life ball games--but its rarity and significance merit your attention. It's one of the earliest player-endorsed collectibles, and as the first true baseball star (as well as the first member of the 3,000 Hit Club), Cap Anson is as significant as 19th century stars come. The full population of twenty-four metal pegs remain, with holes for keeping track of ball, strikes, outs and runs. Some limited wear to the lid, otherwise the is a remarkably well-preserved relic. Dimensions 4.5x7x1". The only game endorsed by Cap Anson.
