    Description

1897 "A History of the Boston Base Ball Club 1871-1897" by George V. Tuohey. Scarce first edition hardcover volume serves as a Book of Genesis for the professional game in this baseball capital. The 242 pages contained within are filled with statistics, anecdotes and black and white illustrations recalling the antics of King Kelly, Hugh Duffy, John Clarkson and Kid Nichols. Some light rubbing to the edges of the red boards, with the original owner's name and address written on first page. A few small spots of toning likewise appear on the first pages, but the vast majority of the interior is free of distraction. Housed in custom modern sleeve. A very strong example of one of the most coveted early baseball texts.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
