1893 Wooden & Metal Cane Depicting 19th Century Baseball Game. This 35.5" long walking stick features a wooden shaft with metal tip and carved metal handle. The handle, possibly made of pewter, is 5" long and is hand-carved with a depiction of a baseball game including all nine defensive players and the batter on one side, and on the other, criss-crossed bats with baseballs, gloves and American flags. On the very top tip is engraved "1893." The metal is split in a couple of places, but the engravings remain strong and bold. Very rare piece of folk art depicting 19th Century baseball.
