1890 "The Champion Lady Base Ball Players of the World" Broadside. A half-century before the arrival of the Racine Belles and the Fort Wayne Daisies of the All American Girls Professional Baseball League, another group of hard-slugging young ladies was packing the grandstands at the local ballpark, and this large and fabulous broadside was printed to stir up support for a Doylestown, PA game. The large (20x29") newspaper stock sign was actually printed in a publication called the "Young Ladies' Athletic Journal," and includes hundreds of lines of text amidst the bold proclamations of the ladies' talent and fine artistic images of a woman at bat. The copy assures potential spectators that "these exhibitions are first-class in every particular, moral in every sense," and makes a call for more ladies to sign up for future teams. Condition is just fantastic for a paper stock piece of this age, with no tearing or significant staining, and only the original fold lines leaving any sort of noticeable creases. Likely the only specimen of its kind, and certainly the finest.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
