1890's Horse Drawn Trolley Embossed and Die-Cut Decoration, Going to Polo Grounds. The stunning lithography enjoyed by tobacco insert cards of the 19th Century are just one avenue for fans of high quality lithography. Victorian-era greeting cards, Christmas cards, Valentine's Day cards, decorations for cakes and birthday parties all stand as a testimonial to the lithographers craft. As scrapbook making was all the rage, there are literally thousands of decorative items, borders treatments, etc. Many of these pieces also feature intricate die-cutting and embossing that only adds to their already immense appeal. Offered is a large, approx. 11 x 5" Horse and trolley scene promoting a new travel route to what was at the time the newly built "Polo Grounds" stadium for a match between New York and Cleveland. The embossing and die-cutting is exceptional. The front displays near-mint, the back has portions of another piece glued to the back. We do not see any spot where something may be lost to history. Incredibly, the delicate railings of the trolley and the drivers whip which are usually the first to be torn off are all intact. Gloss is fresh, the color are amazingly bright and vivid.

The way you grouped lots, photographed, and presented the material was too notch. I was impressed that you took the time to attribute coins to the Krause reference as their "plate coin" and that many of your descriptions included pertinent facts and infor
