    Description

1887-88 Brooklyn Grays/Bridegrooms Scorecards Lot of 4. Fascinating quartet recounts the action at Brooklyn's Washington Park, which served as center of the Brooklyn professional baseball world from 1884 to 1912. While the Brooklyn squad featured no Hall of Fame talent, visitors whose actions are recounted here include Connie Mack and Charles Comiskey, who represented the Louisville Colonels and the St. Louis Browns respectively. The offered scorecards were issued for a pair of games from each of these visiting squads, and remain in quite fine condition with expected edge and spine wear which only once threatens to split a card in two. Each four-page scorecard is complete and fully legible. Terrific early baseball artwork appears on the cover of each. An exciting opportunity for collectors of the nineteenth century game.
