1881-99 Major League Baseball Debut Year Signed Index Cards and Government Postcards Lot of 18. This is a partial portion of an extended autograph collection that includes over 10,000 index cards, signed baseballs and signed photos. Our consignor's father was a pioneer sports autograph collector. He passed away in 1975 and this collection had been in storage until now.Offered in collections of the players' debut season in the Major Leagues, this lot includes the following notable index cards and Government postcards (signature condition averages 9/10 ink) Also, please note that the majority exhibits light to moderate wear, with the debut year neatly written in the corner and the players' name written on the verso: Ira Thomas, Arlie Latham, Dummy Hoy (3), John Hollison, Robert Lowe, Fred Tenney, William Hoffer, Ralph Miller, Nick Altrock, Ralph Miller (2), Edw. Abbaticchio, Bill Bradley, Fred Parent, Ginger Beaumont and Billy Sullivan. Auction LOA from JSA.
