    Description

"Shoeless" Joe Jackson Original Painting. In 1921, Shoeless Joe Jackson was banned from baseball due to his alleged involvement in the Black Sox scandal of 1919. But for nearly 85 years, fans have argued as to whether or not the White Sox legend truly deserves such a stiff penalty, especially when he was acquitted by a judge of any wrong doing. Offered is a 2'x 2' original painting, the background is painted wood, with two aluminum panels stacked with an image of Jackson holding his bat. The reflective material brings the viewer into the painting, asking them to compare their own misdeeds to Joe's.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
