    Description

Circa 1977 Mark Fidrych Game Worn Detroit Tigers Cap. As zany as they came, Mark Fidrych made baseball fun. A non-roster invitee, "The Bird" burst onto the scene and won the hearts of millions with his unique mound mannerisms in 1976. This "New Era size 7" cap was worn by Fidrych a year after he he won Rookie of the Year. The cap shows consistent wear and has "20" written in ballpoint ink on the bill. A letter of provenance states this was obtained in 1977 from the Toronto Blue Jays traveling secretary by our consignor. Letter of provenance from original owner. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
