Circa 1960s Washington Senators Game Worn Cap. Baseball-starved Washington D.C. wasn't left without the sport for long once the Senators bolted for Minnesota in 1961 as the Washington Senators were formed. This style of cap was worn by the Senators from 1963 through '67. Presented is a "[size] 7" cap with "17" written under the brim. A Wilson label is in-place in the headband and "7" is rubber-stamped as well. "7" is also stamped on the inner headband as is a Wilson date code of "KYC." For the record, the following players wore "17" during the period this style was incorporated: Jim Duckworth ('63-'65 and '66), Ryne Duren ('65) and Camilo Pascual ('67). Outstanding use is shown.
