1953 Warren Spahn Game Worn Milwaukee Braves Cap. Warren Spahn didn't have a 90 mile per hour fastball to rely on. He became baseball's winningest lefty by keeping the opposition guessing. He also won twenty or more games thirteen times during his Hall of Fame career. This "Horace and Partridge size 6 7/8" cap accompanied Spahn to the mound more than a few times during the 1953 season. While the Braves moved from Boston in 1953, local manufacturer Horace and Partridge still supplied the team with caps for its first season in Milwaukee. This cap has a Horace and Partridge tag (heavy wear) in the leather headband and "Spahn 6 7/8" stitched in red. A MEARS hologram is also affixed. Moderate wear is shown with a small hole on the back of the crown. Spahn signed the front (9/10) in bold black felt tip. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
