    Description

1951-52 Johnny Logan Game Worn Boston Braves Cap. Tough-as-nails shortstop Johnny Logan pocketed four All-Star appearances and even a World Series ring during his thirteen year career. Worn by Logan during his early days in the bigs is this classic Boston Braves "Wilson [size] 7" cap. The midnight navy wool cap is accentuated with a red bill and "B" felt identifier on front. "Logan 7" is brilliantly stitched to the heavily used headband. A Wilson label also appears in the headband while a size flag tag is discreetly located inside. A number is blackened out with "23" added. Logan's rookie year was 1951, and in '52 Virgil Jester wore "23". The Braves then moved to Milwaukee in '53. This originates from Tom Morgan's personal collection of baseball artifacts. Letter of provenance from Tom Morgan's son. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
