1936-37 Bill McKechnie Boston Bees Game Worn Cap.
Known to have one of the most-developed baseball minds of anyone in his era, Bill McKechnie leveraged that knowledge to become one of the most successful skippers of his day. McKechnie won pennants in three different cities - a feat that no other man can claim. For a five year stretch (1935-40), Boston's National League team was known as the Bees. McKechnie wore this royal blue cap when he called the shots for the Bees in 1936 or '37. "B" is centered on front in blue-on-yellow felt. The leather headband is not cracked but has come loose near the front. A "Partridge's Athletic Sporting Goods" manufacturer's logo is joined by "McKechnie" (chainstitched to a white swatch) inside. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
