    Description

1924 New York Giants Game Worn World Tour Cap. Presented here is the only cap to survive the famed 1924 Baseball World Tour, the historic European joint excursion of the ChiSox and Giants just six years after the close of World War I. A remarkable lid that exhibits terrific eye appeal and extreme significance, it has been professionally restored, as the Spalding leather band and top button were recovered from a vintage donor cap that originated from the same era. No player ID is present, but a perfect interlocking "NY" and a flannel pinstripe body helps define this remarkable piece. A truly compelling cap from an important part of baseball's past. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
