Red Schoendienst Signed Bat. Elected to the Hall of Fame in 1989, Schoendienst played second base for the St. Louis Cardinals for the majority of his career. After retiring as a player, he managed the St. Louis Cardinals for 12 years, guiding them to two National League pennants and one World Series championship.
