Game Used Bat Lot of 4 with Downing, Epstein, Johnson, & Savage.
Offered are the following game used bats:

Brian Downing: Uncracked 35" Louisville Slugger Genuine Brian Downing K75 model. Solid game usage evident throughout with tarring on the handle, ball marks on the barrel, and bat rack marks on the end cap. Tape around the lower barrel keeps dead wood and wood loss on the reverse in place. Knob features a number "16" written in black marker. Stamping dates the bat from 1973-75 when Downing was with the Chicago White Sox.
Mike Epstein: Cracked 35" Louisville Slugger Genuine Mike Epstein O16 model. Light usage evident with some bat rack markings on the taper and end cap. Tape conceals the crack on the upper handle. Knob features a number "5" written in black marker and the name "Kelly" written in graphite. Stamping and the number on the knob date the bat from 1971 to 1972 when Epstein was with the Oakland Athletics.
Dave Johnson: Cracked 34" Louisville Slugger Genuine Dave Johnson model B267. Good usage with tarring on the taper, chalk staining on the end cap , and a few spots of pine tar on the barrel. Tape on the upper handle conceals the crack. Endcap features the length and weight, "34-32," written in black marker along with the number "17." Johnson wore the number 15 during that period with the Baltimore Orioles, so it is possible that teammate Mike Adamson commandeered the lumber during the 1969 campaign.
Ted Savage: Cracked 35" Adirondack Big Stick Ted Savage 129A model. Good usage exhibited with ball marks scattered throughout the barrel. Tape conceals the crack on the upper handle. Some dead wood evident on the reverse of the barrel. Knob features a number "5" that has been underlined twice. Stamping dates the bat from 1968 to 1970, though Savage only wore the number 5 when he was with the Kansas City Royals in 1971.

Letter of Provenance from Kansas City Royals Batboy.
