    Description

Circa 1959 Willie Mays Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 7.5. Lumber from the first half of Willie Mays' peerless career is particularly tough, and this battle-scarred workhorse speaks loudly to the preternatural slugging power of the sport's greatest five-tool player. The block-lettered Hillerich & Bradsby S2 loses points only due to the restoration that stabilized the wounds inflicted by Mays, repairing a handle crack and barrel checking from repeated ball strikes. Cleat and rack marks speckle the surrounding regions. Length is thirty-five inches (35"), weight almost thirty-one and a half ounces (31.4 oz.). A faded number "24" appears in black marker on the knob, and a vintage black marker signature on the barrel rates 5/10. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 7.5. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (autograph).
