Circa 1940 Babe Ruth Signed St. Albans Golf Club Scorecard. The St. Albans Golf Club in New York was one of the Sultan's frequent haunts, particularly after his retirement, and a place where he enjoyed himself immensely. He usually scored in the mid 80's and sometimes the high 70's. Years later, one of his young caddies recalled how he was required to get Ruth beer from a nearby deli at the third, seventh and fourteenth holes. That same caddie also remembers that the Bambino could easily eat eight hot dogs in one sitting.

"St. Albans Golf Club Score Card, St. Albans, Long Island, N.Y." is neatly scored in black pencil and signed in blue pencil next to his impress final score (Ruth shot a 79 that day). The scorecard exhibits wear with creasing, water stains and staple holes, which can easily be seen as giving the piece a charming antique look rather than detracting from it. The autograph is large and bold and grades NRMT. Measures 6x4.5" when opened flat. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from SGC Authentic.
