Description
Circa 1913 Ty Cobb Decal Mini Bat. Besides knowing how to craft a fine swingable baseball bat, the J. F. Hillerich & Son Co. (of "Louisville Slugger" fame) also knew how to create incredible decal bats for fan consumption. This 14" mini-bat features the great Ty Cobb in the central image of the decal, surrounded by the "Louisville Slugger" logo, a Cobb facsimile signature, and the motto, "Has led the American League seven years with this model." This description would date the bat just following the 1913 season, after his seventh consecutive year leading the league in batting average. As is normal on these bats, there is some chipping away of the decal, most noticeably over Cobb's face slightly, but overall the logo is 90% complete.More information about Ty Cobb Sports Player.
