Description
2024 Shohei Ohtani Game Used & Signed Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9.5 & BGS Auto 10 -- Photo Matched to Three Home Runs! Shohei Ohtani's 2024 campaign with the Los Angeles Dodgers was nothing short of historic. In his first season with the club following his blockbuster 10-year, $700 million contract, he focused solely on hitting and baserunning after elbow surgery curtailed his pitching. Despite that limitation, Ohtani posted a .310 batting average, slugged 54 home runs, drove in 130 runs, scored 134 times, and stole 59 bases over 159 games. Most notably, he became the first player in Major League history to record a 50/50 season—50 or more home runs and 50 or more stolen bases in the same year. The milestone came in dramatic fashion: a 6-for-6 performance featuring three home runs, multiple steals, and 10 RBIs in a single game to solidify his place in baseball lore. The home run baseball that sealed the deal was sold at auction for $4.39 million, a figure that should provide some important context for the subject bat.
Ohtani's extraordinary performance earned him unanimous National League Most Valuable Player honors, his third MVP overall and his first in the National League. He joined Frank Robinson as the only players to win the award in both leagues. He then capped the season by winning his first World Series title, as the Dodgers defeated the Yankees in five games. In every sense, 2024 redefined Ohtani's legacy and elevated him to unprecedented heights. At the time of this writing, we are less than a week removed from his pennant-clinching masterpiece of pitching six scoreless innings with ten strikeouts and launching three home runs, including the longest of the Dodgers 2025 season.
You can be certain that a global audience will be competing for this Chandler SO17.4 lumber, crafted in matte black maple and photo matched to home runs number seven through nine of that unprecedented 50/50 season. Outstanding game use is apparent in multiple ball marks, stitch impressions, ink transfers and cleat marks on the barrel. Moderate pine tar appears on the handle, with a crack representing the sole half-point lost in an otherwise perfect PSA/DNA rating. Length is thirty-four inches (34"), weight thirty-one ounces (31 oz.).
The barrel is autographed in perfect silver sharpie Kanji, with a notation reading, "50/50 2024." Two holographic stickers on the barrel were affixed by Major League Baseball and Fanatics respectively. MLB tells us that the bat was broken by Braves ace Max Fried on May 5, 2024 (Ohtani would hit two homers to reach 10 in that contest) and that it was autographed on July 16, 2025. The Fanatics serial number duplicates the MLB attribution to May 5.
It is PSA that provides the photo matching imagery, attributing the battle-scarred lumber to twelve total hits, the listed home runs (career numbers 178-180) and games in which he stole bases six and seven en route to his singular 50/50 achievement. In the interest of brevity, we won't fully recount their findings here and will invite all interested parties to view all accompanying paperwork at our online listing. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9.5. Photo matching LOA from PSA. MLB Authentic YP374081 (LMP). Fanatics NR81047751 (TVY). Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, Gem Mint 10 Auto. Full Grading LOA from Beckett Authentication Services, Auto 10.

Signature Internet Extended Bid: These Auctions are presented via catalog and online. Bidding is taken through our website or via phone. There are two phases of bidding during this type of auction: 1) Normal bidding: Bids are taken up until 10 PM CT the night the auction closes. 2) 30 Minute Ending: On a lot-by-lot basis, starting at 10:00 PM CT, any person who has bid on the lot previously may continue to bid on that lot until there are no more bids for 30 minutes. For example, if you bid on a lot during Normal Bidding, you could participate during Extended Bidding for that lot, but not on lots you did not bid on previously. If a bid was placed at 10:15, the new end time for that lot would become 10:45. If no other bids were placed before 10:45, the lot would close. If you are the high bidder on a lot, changing your bid will not extend the bidding during the 30 Minute Ending phase (only a bid from another bidder will extend bidding). If you are the only bidder at 10 PM, you will automatically win the lot at 10:30. Important: After normal bidding ends, you must be signed-on to the Heritage site to see the bidding option on lots where you qualify for extended bidding and you must be on an individual lot page to reflect the accurate time remaining for that particular lot.
