2015 Kris Bryant Game Used & Signed Bat, MLB Authentic & PSA/DNA GU 9 Photo Matched to 8/30 Two-Run Home Run from Jake Arrieta's No-Hitter. The Chicago Cubs' organization suffered decades and decades of frustration. Everything from billy goats, to a bespectacled first baseman letting one slip through his legs to an infamous fan with outdated headphones were supposedly the roots to all evil. The organization finally turned things around when Theo Epstein took control in 2012. He made a big splash by drafting Kris Bryant with the second overall pick the following year.

Two years later, the slugger was ready for the big leagues and a year after that Chicago's long albatross was slain. Bryant's rookie season culminated in a Rookie of the Year award as he hit .275, slugged twenty-six home runs and drove in 99 runs.

This Marucci model KB17.2 bat (34" and 31.7 ounces) saw action when Bryant was setting the National League on fire. The bat suffered a handle crack, which still runs through the Marucci sticker, has been repaired. Wonderful use is shown on the black stick with ball marks and dark blue ink transfers penetrating the back barrel from repeated contact. Blue bat rack streaks and pine tar decorates the handle. "08 13 15 17 4 1" is stamped into the knob while "34 30.6" is markered.

Bryant offered his personal assurance with a 9/10 silver paint pen signature and "2015 ROY" inscription. PSA/DNA and MLB Authentic (JB022490) certification stickers rest on the barrel. We consulted the MLB website and it lists the following under the session date: " August 31, 2105 Batter - Kris Bryant, Pitcher- Ryan Mattheus, Bottom of 5, Single. Marucci Model KB17.2. Custom Cut serial number 8/13/15."

We utilized the services of Resolution Photomatching and they have definitively linked the bat to the Cubs' only offense from Jake Arrieta's no-hitter August 30, 2015. Bryant launched an Alex Wood first inning offering into the Los Angeles night. That was all the offense Arrieta needed that night.

Bryant's career figures to end in Cooperstown. Year one resulted in a Rookie of the Year. Year two was a World Championship, the franchise's first in eighty-six years. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9. MLB Authentic JB022490. LOA from Resolution Photomatching.
