    Description

2012 Mike Trout Game Used Rookie Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9.5. The greatest ballplayer that ever lived? It's still a bit early to make such a bold declaration, but unless this supremely talented youngster stumbles from his current trajectory, that distinction could very well become his legacy. The ultimate five-tool player, Trout has slugged in the top four for the American League in each of his six Angels campaigns, and, at .565 for his career, is north of some names that may sound familiar--Stan Musial, Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, etc.

Add a rocket arm and rocket-fueled foot speed, and it's clear why Sports Illustrated dubbed him, "The Supernatural" on its August 27, 2012 cover. He holds an "Old Hickory" bat identical in format to this one in that image, though it would be impossible to determine if that bat and this one are one and the same.

The offered personal model J143M Maple lumber is a picture-perfect example, with ball marks, stitch impressions, cleat marks, the imprint of a weighted donut, and a taped and pine-tarred cracked (and repaired) handle. The thirty-three and a half inch (33.5") length is stamped into the barrel. Weight is thirty-two and a half ounces (32.5 oz.). Major League Baseball authentication attributes the bat to a Cleveland Indians visit to Anaheim on August 14, 2012, though it's likely that more than a single game appears upon its resume.

Barrel is signed in 9/10 silver sharpie with a notation that reads, "Super Natural" and "GU 12." Have a look at current Derek Jeter rookie bat values if you're wondering what the future may hold for this black maple beauty. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9.5. MLB Authentic EK323698. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (autograph).
