2012 Derek Jeter ALDS Game Used & Signed Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9--Photo Matched! So many reasons to love this bat--where do we start? First of all, of course, we tip our navy blue cap to the franchise's king of hits and games played, and remind bidders that this represents one of the last chances to invest in Jeter before Cooperstown's inevitable phone call. Next, we'll fawn over the massive game use instilled into the punished grain of the provided signature model Louisville Slugger P72, the format favored by the legendary shortstop throughout his career.

From there, we'll note that the ever-growing assembly of bruises and abrasions coating the bat's surface allowed for a wide array of photo matches--in fact, we can see the bat in Jeter's hands in each of the first four contests of the 2012 American League Divisional Series, a series which would supply his final postseason success. The Yanks would fall in the subsequent ALCS, and miss the playoffs entirely in the last two years of Jeter's career. Jeter would snap off a chunk of the barrel in Game Four, ending the bat's lengthy term of service, but the lumber has been professionally glued back together and presents perfectly.

Still want more? Ok, check out the awesome notation, "The Captain," beneath Jeter's bold silver sharpie barrel signature. That's a rare one. And there's a second Jeter signature on the included Steiner letter of authenticity.

Knob is stamped with the relevant details of manufacturing date (09/25/12), length (34.0) and weight (32.0). Handle reveals a generous coating of Mota stick. This is a picture-perfect specimen by any standard of measure, and one of the latest postseason Jeter bats known to exist. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9. Letter of provenance from Derek Jeter/Steiner Sports. COA from Steiner Sports (autograph).
