Description

2006 Alex Rodriguez 100th Home Run for Yankees Walk-Off Home Run Game Used & Signed Bat with Player Letter, PSA/DNA GU 10. One swing provided both a major milestone and utter pandemonium in the Bronx, as the Yanks sacrificed a run to the visiting Atlanta Braves in the top of the twelfth inning on June 28, 2006 before A-Rod came to the plate with one out and one man aboard in the bottom half and launched a 3-1 pitch into orbit to record his 100th homer as a Yankee and rescue victory from the jaws of defeat. This absolutely pounded signature model P72 is the bat that did the deed, and if you check Getty Image #97319795 you can get a good look at it, the big horizontal divot on the barrel clearly visible. The barrel has a few more divots, appearing to be the result of smacking it against a hard surface, but there's plenty of clear game use here, with ball marks, stitch impressions, cleat marks, a weighted donut imprint, and heavy Mota stick on the uncracked handle.

Length is thirty-four inches, weight thirty and a half ounces (30.4 oz.). Barrel is signed in bold sharpie with the notation, "GU 6-28-06, 100th Yankee HR, Walk Off HR in 12th." Definitely one of the best A-Rod bats in the hobby. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 10. Letter of provenance from Alex Rodriguez. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
