Description

2006 Albert Pujols Career Home Run #206 Game Used & Signed Bat, PSA/DNA GU 8.5--Photo Matched with Pujols Letter! The experts at PSA/DNA outdid themselves on this one, doing a bit of photo sleuthing to match the knob markings on this "The Original Maple Bat Corp." (more commonly called a "Sam Bat") JB1 (S) SGI lumber to Getty Image #121579438, picturing the future Hall of Famer launching his 206th career homer on April 15. A second photo match links the bat to Getty Image #57580372 on April 23.

Game use is characterized as "excellent," noting ball marks, stitch impressions, cleat marks, and tape to secure a crack on the pine-tarred handle. Of course, this strong game action is to be expected for an outrageous hot streak that saw the elite slugger launch seven home runs in eight games while recording a staggering sixteen RBI's and thirty-four total bases during what may well have been the best personal week of his career. Presumably, this bat was responsible for all of it.

Length is thirty-four and a half inches (34.5"), weight just over thirty-three ounces (33.3 oz.). Front barrel is boldly autographed in black sharpie with "#5, Game Used" notation. A signed letter of provenance from Pujols is included. How did Albert let this one get away? LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 8.5. Letter of provenance from Albert Pujols. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (autograph on bat). MLB Authentic FU293863 (autograph on bat). Full LOA from PSA/DNA (autograph on letter of provenance).
