    Description

2002 Barry Bonds Home Run #588 Game Used & Signed Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9.5--Photo Matched!
National Leaguers didn't get a lot of opportunities to play at the House that Ruth Built before it fell to the wrecking ball in 2009, but Bonds felt the Bambino's magic as he launched a first inning three-run shot off southpaw ace Ted Lilly in a victory over the Yanks on June 8, 2002. Presented is the Sam Bat "Rideau Crusher" utilized by the recently-crowned single season Home Run King to edge ever closer to Hank Aaron's career mark.

All details of dimension, manufacturing date and model number are handwritten at the cup end: "34, 31.7 oz., 05 31 02, 2K1, BB." Game use is assessed as "excellent" by the PSA/DNA experts, who note ball marks, a weighted donut impression, and Mota stick on the grip-taped and uncracked handle.

Attribution to home run number 588 is assured both by Bonds' notation beneath his 9/10 silver sharpie barrel signature, and again by detailed paperwork from Resolution Photo Matching, which compares video footage of Bonds' upper deck blast to marks on the bat's surface. An ironclad scepter from the Home Run King. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9.5. LOA from Resolution Photomatching. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (autograph). Auction LOA from SGC Authentic (autograph).

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
