    Description

2001-07 Ken Griffey Jr. Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 10. Ken Griffey Jr. possessed baseball smoothest swing and also had one of the most infectious smiles witnessed on the diamond. Never embroiled in the steroid controversy, Griffey first made his mark with the Seattle Mariners before going home to Cincinnati where he added to his Hall of Fame credentials. This Louisville Slugger model C271 bat (33.75" and 32 ounces) was used when Griffey was playing with the Reds and has a labeling period of 2001-07. The white criss-cross taping on the handle has red saturation from batting gloves. A 3" portion of the tape has pulled away. Multiple ball marks and stitch impressions penetrate the back barrel from repeated contact. Cleat marks and an impression of where a batting donut was applied add further luster to this uncracked gem - graded PSA/DNA GU 10 by John Taube. The fine stick was originally secured from Mill Creek Sports, the company which sold Griffey's game-used memorabilia. Cupped end. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 10.
