Description

2001-02 David Ortiz Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 7.5.
David Ortiz was an up-and-down hitter with the Minnesota Twins. While he could slug with baseball's best, Ortiz also had a propensity to suffer through some dreadful droughts. His signing with the Boston Red Sox in 2003 came with little fanfare. Big Papi earned his stripes in Boston and helped end the dreaded curse in 2004. This Louisville Slugger model C243 bat (34" and 30.8 ounces) was used when Ortiz was playing in Minnesota. Ball marks and stitch impressions pepper the back barrel from repeated use. Moderate checking is also shown on the back barrel as we believe this was in Papi's arsenal for some time. Uncracked. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 7.5.
