Description

1999 Craig Biggio Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9. Craig Biggio was a catcher by trade until he was moved into the infield by the Houston Astros as a way to preserve his speed. The Hall of Famer used this fine Louisville Slugger model H176 bat (34" and 32.8 ounces) during the 1999 campaign. Numerous black ink transfers have found their way onto the back barrel as have ball marks and green rack streaks. Biggio's trademark spiral tape job (14") and heavy pine tar application add serious personality to the uncracked bat. "7" and "34 33" are written on the knob. According to John Taube's records, the reason the bat does have the model number stamped on the knob is because this was a promotional bat. The bat has his full blessing and grades a stellar PSA/DNA GU 9. Biggio signed the barrel end in 8/10 black felt tip. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autograph). Auction LOA from SGC Authentic (autograph).
