1997 Ken Griffey Jr. Game Used, Signed Bat, Attributed to Tenth Home Run of Season with Griffey Signed Letter, PSA/DNA GU 10 - His Only MVP Season. Ken Griffey Jr. was one of the first men to market his game-used items. For that smart move we salute you Ken Griffey Jr. - the man who made it look like anybody could go out and hit a home run. The effortless Griffey used this very Louisville Slugger model C271 bat (33.875" and 29.7 ounces) to launch plenty of hits in 1997. This year was special in that Griffey won his only MVP. According to the signed letter from Griffey Jr., this uncracked stick was used for his 10th home run of the season. Blue stamping smudges appear near the barrel's engraving and grain swelling is visible on the back barrel from repeatedly hitting the baseball. Ball marks and stitch impressions are also found. Griffey's most famous trait, that of 7" of criss-cross pattern tape, is found on the handle. Griffey signed the barrel in 10/10 silver paint pen and inscribed "Game Used 97 HR 10 MVP" as well. Cupped end. LOA from Ken Griffey Jr. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 10. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
