1996 Alex Rodriguez Career Grand Slam #3 Game Used & Signed Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9.The good fortune of the Major League grand slam record was stripped from the Luckiest Man on the Face of the Earth by the original owner of this bat, who ended his illustrious career with twenty-five bases-loaded long balls, two better than the towering lifetime tally of Lou Gehrig. The superstar slugger recorded his first three slams during his 1996 rookie season, and the presented signature model Louisville Slugger C271 launched the third, the experts at Resolution Photomatching having eliminated the second of that spectacular debut campaign, and the whereabouts of the first well-established in the hobby.
The jet-black lumber exhibits excellent game use from the July 6, 1996 blast at the Ballpark in Arlington, with ball marks, stitch impressions, cleat marks and a weighted donut impression. Rodriguez' rookie-style signature appears in silver on the barrel above his handwritten "Grand Slam 1996" notation. Length is just short of thirty-four inches (33.875"), weight thirty-two and a half ounces (32.6 oz.). Handle remains uncracked. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9. Full LOA from PSA/DNA for autograph.
