Description

1996-97 Mike Piazza Game Used & Signed Bat, PSA/DNA GU 10. Mike Piazza's big league career began in earnest as Tommy Lasorda drafted the backstop as a favor to Piazza's father. Boy did the skipper hit on that one. The Hall of Fame backstop dominated the competition when he swung this Mizuno World Win bat (34.5" and 32.1 ounces) between 1996-97 as a member of the Dodgers. The uncracked blonde lumber shows evidence of "heavy" use according to John Taube's research. Ball marks and stitch impressions are on the left and back barrel from making contact. Blue and green bat rack marks and light pine tar are also featured. "31" is written in Dodger blue on the knob and barrel end. Piazza offered his personal authentication with a signature and "G/U" inscription. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 10. COA from PSA/DNA (autograph).
