Description

1992 Mike Piazza Game Used Bat - Earliest Known, PSA/DNA GU 10. Mike Piazza's big league career began in earnest as Tommy Lasorda drafted the backstop as a favor to Piazza's father. Boy did the skipper hit on that one. Piazza realized his Major League dream September 1, 1992 as a call-up. When he first played for the Dodgers he wore "25" before switching to his familiar "31" during his sophomore year. Piazza used this Louisville Slugger model C243 bat (32.8 ounces and 34") at the beginning of his career. The knob has "25" in silver paint pen set against a dark circle. "Mike Piazza" appears in plain block lettering on the barrel. Excellent use is exhibited with ball marks, cleat impressions and light checking on the back barrel. Bat rack streaks are also apparent on the barrel. This was gifted to a member of Piazza's family during his rookie season. Uncracked. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 10.
