Description
1988 Goose Gossage Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9. With his intimidating mustache, Goose Gossage could strike the fear of God into the opposition. Every so often the reliever would have to grab a Louisville Slugger and make his way to the plate. The Hall of Famer used this Louisville Slugger model S2 bat (35" and 32.2 ounces) bat in 1988 when he called the Windy City home. At least seven separate sets of black ink transfers are showcased on the back barrel from contact. Red and blue bat streaks accentuate the back barrel. The uncracked stick has grain swelling and numerous ball marks. "54 S2" is written on both ends in black marker. The bat is graded PSA/DNA GU 9 given its extensive use and player traits.
