1988 Barry Bonds Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9. Barry Bonds was a hitter without weakness. Pitchers usually opted to issue a walk rather than face the embarrassment of pitching to him. Bonds obliterated the single-season home run title and eventually nudged Hank Aaron aside for the career mark. This Louisville Slugger model H238 bat (33.5" and 32.4 ounces) saw action when Bonds was with the Pirates. Given the multitude of ball marks which have accumulated on the back barrel, we bet Bonds put a few in the cheap seats while using this uncracked bat. Ball marks, ink transfers and light checking suggest heavy use by the then budding superstar. "24" is written on the knob. Blue and red bat rack streaks add a dose of aesthetics to the lumber. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9.
