1988-89 George Brett Game Used Bat. Any Hall of Famer's bat is a magical thing, but particularly so for those legends that have had the skill and longevity to amass 3,000 hits. Though the light but definite use here leads to the assumption that perhaps only one or two of those hits were delivered by this signature model Louisville Slugger C271, it nonetheless should be held in great reverence for its brief brush with greatness. Factory records indicate that this model bat, weighing thirty and one-half ounces and measuring thirty-three and one-half inches, was delivered to Brett in both 1988 and 1989, which allows us to narrow the range beyond the trademark style. In typical Brett style, pine tar remnants are found high on the barrel, actually crossing his facsimile signature. "GB5" is written in marker on the knob, and a perfect black sharpie signature appears on the barrel. SCD A5. LOA from PSA/DNA.
