    Description

1988-89 Barry Bonds Rookie Era Game Used Bat. At the time of this writing, Barry is back at bat, inching ever closer to the Babe, and perhaps Hammerin' Hank himself. With each step he takes toward these immortals, the value of this fantastic early Louisville Slugger H238 rises, and one can only imagine what a rookie-era bat from the Home Run King would be worth (actually, rookie Aaron bats have sold for more than $25,000!). Adding to the appeal, this specimen exhibits spectacular use, with heavy ball marks, deep stitch marks and ten inches of original grip tape still applied in Barry's favored pattern to the handle. In fact, it's the finest use we've ever seen on a Bonds rookie-era bat, which puts it in a level of desirability far above the pack. Length is thirty-three and three-quarter inches, with a weight of thirty-two ounces. MEARS A7.5.
