1987 Paul Molitor Game Used Bat Gifted to Personal Photographer, PSA/DNA 9. The Milwaukee Brewers of 1987 became known as Team Streak. The Brew Crew opened the season with 13 straight wins which was shortly followed by a 12-game losing streak. One player who used the season as a springboard was Paul Molitor. His 39-game hit streak captivated the baseball world and had many wondering if Joe DiMaggio's hits mark was in peril. Molitor gifted this Cooper model H176 bat (34" and 31.7 ounces) to his personal photographer following the season. Molly's long association with this photographer began in 1978 when The Ignitor was just a rookie. Their friendship continued through his induction into Cooperstown. The offered bat has a labeling period of 1986-92 and shows excellent use characteristics. Moderate checking and numerous ball marks pepper the left and back barrel. Cleat marks and an impression from where a batting donut once stood are visible. "34 32 oz." is printed on the flared knob with "4" written in black marker.
