1987 Kirby Puckett Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9. The Minnesota Twins of 1987 completed one of the most remarkable turnarounds in baseball history. In 1986, the Twinkies finished 20 games below the break-even point. Things took a dramatic switch in '87 as the team won its first World Series. Hall of Famer Kirby Puckett swung this Louisville Slugger model S226 bat during the World Series campaign. The bat suffered a crack which has been professionally repaired. This model of bat was ordered by Puckett on three occasions in '87 - February 16, April 20 and April 21. Blue baseball ink marks consume the back barrel with light checking is also visible. Black bat rack marks appear on the barrel. "34" is written on the knob and cupped end for player identification. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9.
