    Description

1987-88 George Brett Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9. He's the greatest star ever to represent Kansas City in the Majors, but the Hall of Fame third baseman is best remembered for his epic freak out following a negated home run in what is known to history as "The Pine Tar Incident." The rule states that pine tar cannot extend more than eighteen inches beyond the tip of the knob. The measurement here? Twenty-two inches. Check online photos of The Pine Tar Incident bat--here the tar extends much further here, so clearly Brett was undeterred in the aftermath. The signature model Hillerich & Bradsby C271 exhibits heavy game use with ball marks, stitch marks, rack streaks and the aforementioned heavy tar. Handle is uncracked. "GB5" is markered on knob. Length thirty-four and a half inches (34.5"), weight thirty and a half ounces (30.5 oz.). One of the nicest Brett gamers out there. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9.
