Description

1986 Mike Schmidt Home Runs #491 & #493 Game Used Bat. Only Mike himself knows why he decided to grab another bat to launch career home run number 492, but his standard notation for keeping track of his long ball lumber leaves no doubt. The Adirondack 154A features two blue markered dots at the trademark and the numbers "91" and "93" just above, typical of all Schmidt homer bats from this era. Use is characterized by Taube and Malta as "outstanding," with ball, stitch, cleat and bat rack marks abounding. Heavy pine tar coats the handle, where a crack put an end to the bat's frenetic duties. Schmidt's number "20" appears in marker on the knob, opposite a small inked number "32" indicating the bat's weight in ounces. Length is thirty-five inches. Blue sharpie signature on barrel is 10/10. A magnificent representation from Schmidt's third and final National League MVP season, rating GU 9. LOA from PSA/DNA. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autograph). Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph).
