    Description

1985 Pete Rose Game Used Bat. Important gamer was gifted to Cincinnati sports talk show host Dennis Walker just weeks before Charlie hustled past the great Ty Cobb to claim ownership of one of the most noteworthy career records in American sports. The black Mizuno bat custom made for the controversial superstar was crafted expressly for the purpose of capturing the hit title, designated a model number "PR 4192." Heavy use is evident throughout, with ball marks and stitch impressions coating its obsidian finish. Rose's distinctive grip tape job remains on the handle. Length and weight are thirty-four inches and thirty-two ounces respectively. Letter of provenance from Walker is included. The use, provenance and historical positioning makes this one of the most desirable Rose bats in the hobby. Graded a perfect 10 by both PSA/DNA and MEARS. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from MEARS.
