1985 Mike Schmidt Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9.5. Expert John Taube theorizes that the "ST 20" in marker on the knob suggests this lumber saw action during spring training in the hands of the man who ensured the digits will never again be applied to a Phillies jersey. Excellent use is apparent throughout, in the ball marks, stitch impressions, rack streaks and pine tar on the cracked handle. This season, of course, is cemented in Schmidt lore as the one that saw him earn his key to the 500 Home Run Clubhouse, a milestone made all the more thrilling as Schmidt represented the final out needed by the Pirates when he hit the three-run bomb to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Length thirty-five inches, weight thirty-two ounces. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9.5. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autograph). Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph).
